Event: Lifetime of Wisdom Book Signing & Virgie Film Premiere

Lifetime of Wisdom: Stories of Veteran Bay Islanders by Thomas Tomczyk features remarkable stories of senior Bay Islanders, ages 80 to 105. Signed copies will be available from the author.

With support from the Municipality of La Ceiba, Waves of Art Gallery & WoA Collective joined forces with filmmaker Emilia Anderson, to produce an interview video on the life and work of Honduran Caribbean artist Virginia Castillo, affectionately known as Virgie. In the video, Virgie reflects on more than 50 years as an artist, sharing how growing up in La Ceiba and the Bay Islands has shaped both her inspiration and her philosophy of life.
